 | this is a mattress with an air overlay or do i need to buy a separate mattress too? | | This alternating pressure mattress 750000 will come with 1.5" - 2" foam pad under the air cells layer. So you do not have to get another mattress to put under this mattress. |
| | AltraDyne 8" Alternating Pressure mattress
w/low air loss
How many air bladders does this mattress
have and are they replaceable? | | The model 750000 comes with 20 air cell bladders and are not replaceable. You can consider the following one with the same number of air cells that are replaceable.

| | I have this mattress and wanted to by a back-up pump can you direct me to a vendor or do you carry them? | | Yes, we do carry such a replacement pump for the AltaDyne alternating pressure mattress. You can order from the website or contact us to place order. |
| | We have one of your mattresses with individual air pockets. The one at the end of the bed is forcing the others to bunch up. Can I remove the one at the end of the bed so the bed doesn't have a bowl effect? I noticed they are individually plugged in. I hope you can help.
Thank you,
Gerrie Shaffer
| | The product is not designed to use this way since when you remove the cell there may be leaking. But you can certainly try to see if it will work this way with caution. |
| | where is this shipped from. estimated time by regular shipping? | | The product will be shipped from the closest warehouse to you. Based on your area code you are located in AR. So the product will be shipped from either Atlanta or St Louis. |
| | the AltaDyne 8 Alternating pressure mattess 0 does this also include the bed
if not, how much is the bed frame? | | The bed in the picture is just showing you how the mattress works and how it looks when being used. So it is not included in the product. In fact, it is not a product to offer for sale. You can select one of the following hospital bed models to use with the alternating pressure mattress.

| | Why is the AltaDyne 8" alternating Pressure Mattress w/ Low Air Loss:
so much cheaper than similar items? I find it at $800-$900 compared to $1400-$3000 for other alternating pressure and ow air loss mattresses. | | The product is determined based on many factors - the therapeutic function (the bedsore stages that it targets), sales volume, promotion and brand... Those models of up to $5K are for more advanced stages that are more difficult to heal. This model 753000 is for up to stage II and is on promotion. |
| | What is the number of cells on this unit? Does this bed have the inner tube design? What are the setting options on this control unit? | | This model does not have Cell within Cell design (if you mean this by 'the inner tube design') that prevents the mattress from bottoming on the bed in the event of power failure. You can consider the following two models that have such design in the product. You can refer to the information on the following pages for details related to the mattress and control setting.

| | Is this bed medicare approved? I assume the details indicating it meets the requirements of HCPCS E0277 means it is medicare approved. Thanks for your input. | | But medicare does not cover purchase of any of this type of products. Coverage is only for a portion of rental for certain models for limited time. After the duration, you will need to pick up the total payment. |
| | Does this mattress come with the cover that is pictured? | | Yes, the coverlet comes with the mattress. |
| | | AltaDyne 8" Alternating Pressure & Low Air Loss Mattress Does this need an under mattress or does it lay directly on the hospital bed? | | It can be put directly on the hospital bed although there is no padding support underneath. People usually use it alone this way. The only concern is that the air cell will deflate during power outage. But it takes sometime time to deflate. You can usually an unversal power supply (UPS) unit that is commonly used in offices to protect data in computer. This can be purchase at many electronics stores. Or you can put under a thin mattress pad such as http://ucanhealth.com/goto.php?page=detail.php&graph1=7-2000TC |
| | I'm interested in the altadyne 753000, can you tell me about the pump, does it have a blowe motor for quick inflate? how long to inflate? is the mattress true low air loss? how does it achieve low air loss? | | The mattress can be inflated about 30 min. It can take as little as 20 seconds to deflate. The mattress has low air loss achieved by the design of the mattress and pump. You can select to have low air loss only, or alternating pressure only, or both of the alternating pressure and low air loss. These options are available conrolled by the pump. |
