| | | What kind of care is needed for the alternating pressure overlay sheets. | | The coverlet is made of waterproof materials. You can use wet cloth to wipe clean it if there is stain on it. For facility use, the mattress needs to decontaminated between patient uses to avoid hygienic issues. You will need to spray the unit down with a Cavicide or a Madacide spray and follow the directions for that product (usually leave spray on for 10 minutes then wipe off).
