Is this pad for a chair or for a bed This alternating pressure pad is 36" wide which is for a bed. Please be advised that there is no such a pad for a char. There only air pressure mattress pads for chairs. All alternating pressure pads are for beds.

My left heel is at risk of developing a pressure sore. This type of equipment was recommended to me. I can't figure out how the pad stays on the bed and under the feet. Can you help? It is uaually put on top of your existing mattress. It covers the whole area of the bed on which you sleep and that's how it is under your feet.
