While using the 2 Primary Care mattresses ( the APP and the low air loss type )are the use of breathable chux required for both types ? What would happen if you used regular chux ?
You can use either of them. You can also use bed sheet (such as disposable bed sheet) too. Both systems include a quilted, breathable, anti-shear, water resistant top cover. So even without chux or sheet, the mattress also works and works even better for pressure relief function.
would like to know what kind of pressure sores this bed would be for. My son is on a kci first step air bed and I would like to get one thats compared to that. Do you think this is the bed that would be compared to that. My son has about a stage 2 and i would like to prevent him from getting any worse. We cant get it covered by medicaid so we need to pay cash. Hoping that we wont have to spend more that 2,000.00
This mattress model PrimaryCare is for bed sores of up to stage II. But it the bed sores progress to over stage II, this mattress may not be so effective. You can consider the following models that can deal with up to stage III.
How do I decide which matress is the best. My father is 76, had a brain injury 5wks ago , moving very little, but just started pulling himself up to sit in the bed. And we don't have a lot of money. Please help...Thanks
Based on your description, you father have not yet developed bedsore but is at high risk. You can choose the model SYS600-AP that is good enough to prevent and heal bedsores up to stage II.
