This alternating pressure mattress also has low air loss function in the same system. It offers the therapeutic results and features you would expect in far more expensive systems. The microprocessor allows caregivers to visually monitor the actual pressures in the inflated and deflated air cells

Questions & Comments (3)
Does this mattress allow low air loss function INSTEAD OF alternating pressure?
This model comes with both of the alternating pressure and low air loss functions.
How does the overlay mattress stay on the regular mattress? I was just wondering if there are staps on it to prevent it from moving when a person is getting out of bed.
The mattress overlay is just put on top of the regular mattress for support. In most cases, hospital beds are used with side rails to prevent the patient from falling off the bed. Even without the rails, the overlay will not add too much chance for the patient to get out of bed. A better choice is to get a mattress replacement system with a 2" - 3" supporting pad built in under the air cell layer. So there is no chance for the two layers to slide and separate. But again, to prevent the patient from getting out of bed, it is better to use a set of bed rails that serve for this purpose.
