|Q||Could I have the appropriate procedure code for this shower chair in order to confirm it cannot be covered by Medicaid. Thank you.|
|A||This sliding transfer bench is not covered by Medicare, Medcaid or insurance. All customers paid from their own pockets.|
|Q||What is highest it go? My tub is 22inch high onoutside and17 inches intub. He need from left to right.
|A||The highest clearance of the bench is 19". Your tub is too high for it. You need to order an X tall extention set that raise the bench extra 4" higher so that the clearance becomes 23". It can then use on your tub this way.|
|Q||Im looking for a sliding transfer bench for my mom. She has one of those garden tubs that are oval and slightly slanted inside the front wall. Which of the benches you offer would work with this. She needs something sturdy but does NOT require holding a heavy weight.|
|A||This bench should work with the garden tub. But please measure the space accoding to the specifications described to determine whether this will fit in. The bench can hold up to 400 lbs. which is sturdy enough.|
|Q||Required Clearance 15 - 19 - what is this the measurement of? Is this the width of the tub?|
|A||This is referring to the space under the bench frame. You need to measure the outside height of the tub. If it is higher than 19", the bench can not be used by itself and you need a set of leg extensions to add to the height of the bench.|
|Q||does seat have holes for water drainage|
|A||Yes, the seat has holes on it for water drainage.|
|Q||from the floor to the floor of the shower is between 6 1/2 to 7 inches does the legs ajust that much|
|A||No, the seat height is between 15" and 18.5" which means that it adjusts within 3.5" from the shortest to the highest. You need to select a model with item number starting with 3 and purchase it together with the X tall leg extension set so that you can add 4" more extra height to the legs outside the tub. The legs are adjustable with 0.5" increment.|
I am interested in a sliding chair for my parent's shower. It must be extra long for them to sit on it outside the shower, then slide in. The chair itself must be extra wide or have the capability to add extensions. Weight must be 350-400. Chair must have a back on it and there is no need for a cut out. The arm brass needs to be on the left side when seated.
Can you help me find the best chair for my Mom and Dad?
|A||Sorry, there is no such a product that meets all your needs. This regular size model can hold up to 400 lbs. All extra long models can only hold up to 300 lbs. Adding extension legs will lower the weight capacity for 30 to 50 lbs. Other requirements can be easily met.|
|Q||My mom and her caregiver have been told about products similar to this. I need a recommendation; my mom weighs about 170lbs.|
|A||This sliding transfer bench is designed to transfer an elderly into the tub or shower safely and easily. It can handle up to 400 lbs weight capacity and is well above her weight. You need to determine if the dimensions will fit your tub or shower by measuring your tub or shower and referring to the specifications. You will also need to figure what features and functions you need. We have different models for you to choose. Just click on the link "sliding transfer bench" on top of the page to get to the list of options.|
|Q||Can the grab bar be positioned on right or left side? My mother enters her tub on the left side. Your photo shows a right entry, I believe. Thank you, Colleen Gorrilla|
|A||All sliding transfer benches can be used by either directions. You can install it in a way to have the grab bar on either right or left sides of your choice although the photo shows a right entry.|
|Q||can the seat be put on the other side so that the stop can be put on the other side |
|A||Yes, the seat can be installed to face the other side.|
|Q||do you offer leg extensions on any of the shower seats, trench or slider. Do you offer any seat higher that 23"?|
|A||The leg extensions fit only the 3 series models such as those with swivel functions.|
|Q||can this model come with a swivel seatand if what is the cost thank you
|A||The model only comes with the feature of sliding. The feature that you talked about is available on a different model. Please click on the following link to find out more details, features, specifications and prices.
|Q||The headline says the seat can handle 400 pounds, but the specs say 300. Which is it?
|A||Sorry for the confusion. The weight capacity is 400 lbs.|
|Q||The width of our tub is 30" which is from the inside to the outside. We have a toliet next to the tub to the longest is 30" Is there a sliding model that would fit this?
|A||This model of sliding transfer bench is about 38" wide at the bottom of the base. This is the widest part of the bench. You need to measure your space from inside the tub to the inbound side of the toilet to see if this size will fit.
You can not place the bench over the toilet since it is too long distance from inside of the tub. The bench can not reach the wall this way. Our longest model is about 47" wide that is still not long enough though. So the most feasible approach is the select a standard model and fit it in the space between the wall of the tub and the toilet.
|Q||I need a bench like model 61211 but it has to swivel so that I can sit from outside the tub and turn to enter the tub. What do you recommend? |
|A||You can select the following sliding transfer bench with molded swivel seat. With this model, you can set the seat facing outside, transfer the patient to the seat, turn the seat 90 degree back to face either directions and slide to transfer into the tub. Or you can also slide and then turn the seat back too. If you want padded seat you can select the sliding transfer bench with padded swival seat accordingly.
|Q||can the handle shown on theright side be transfered to the left side I would appreciate an answer asap because i'm moving saturday and need to order one asap
|A||Yes, the handle can be installed at either sides of the bench frame.|
|Q||Is this bench easy to disassemble for traveling? When it is apart, how many pieces are there? I'm looking for the most compact bench that will take up little room in a suitcase. Would this work?
|A||This item is easy to disassemble and assemble by snap-off and snap-on. The seat back and the legs can be detached. Some people use this item during travel. But depending on the size of your suitcase, this may or may not fit inside. You can use the package that comes with it for traveling. The size of the box is 30" x 19" x 8" and the weight is 16 lbs. You can make your decision accordingly.|
