QUESTION: How do you get stuff into the basket? Does the seat lift up or does the basket pull out? Would you say that the push down feature is safe and good for someone with arthritis? Better than the hand brakes? Thanks for your help. ANSWER: The basket is under the seat. So if you want to put things into or take things out of the basket, you need to lift up the seat that is just like a cap for the basket. Theoretically, a weight activated brake is safer than a hand brake since it is some how activated automatically if you lose balance or put a little weight on that. With hand brakes, you need to take extra step to stop the rollator. The same concept applies to those who with arthritis unless the user is too light to activate the brakes. You can make your decision accordingly. For more discussions, options and details about the product, or to order the product, please click here
