QUESTION: I'm wondering how does this fit in the tub. Would the handle be sitatuted toward the opening of the tub or against the shower wall? My mother, who is 81 years old, is having difficulty getting in and out of her tub/shower. She ordinarily takes a shower standing, but I think this might be more comfortable. I'm just concerned about how she'd then get out of the tub. Would I need to install a safety rail? ANSWER: This transfer bench is for transferring a patient in and out of tub. The handle should be positioned to be against the wall so that the other side is clear for transfer. Two legs are positioned outside the tub so that she can sit on it and move inside. You do not need to install a safety rail. For more discussions, options and details about the product, or to order the product, please click here
