QUESTION: While using the 2 Primary Care mattresses ( the APP and the low air loss type )are the use of breathable chux required for both types ? What would happen if you used regular chux ? ANSWER: You can use either of them. You can also use bed sheet (such as disposable bed sheet) too. Both systems include a quilted, breathable, anti-shear, water resistant top cover. So even without chux or sheet, the mattress also works and works even better for pressure relief function.
