Can This Sliding Transfer Bench Turn to the Other Side? - Q & A

Question regarding 31621

  • Q: Do the legs go on the outside of one side of the tub? does the chair come to the end of the tub? the user has to lift his legs over the edge of the tub as he slides in right?
    • Yes, 2 of the legs go on the outside of the tub and the other 2 are inside. The chair may come to the end of the tub depending on the width of your tub. The following picture shows the molded vision of this model offering similar functions. It will give you some ideas about how the bench is set up.

There are different ways to use this bench. You can turn the seat 90 degrees and have the patient sit on it. Afterwards, you can push it all the way inside the tub first and then turn it back, or turn it back first then push it in, or just push it in not have to turn (shower or bath in this direction). Either way, the user has to lift his legs (one after the other when sitting with safety belt fasten) to go over the edge.
