Construction Play for Problem-Solving

Building construction is a challenging problem-solving process. In construction projects, architects, designers and engineers need to face various complex issues, such as space layout, material selection, construction schedule, etc. In order to improve the efficiency of problem solving and draw on the principles of game design, we divide problem solving in construction into four stages: discovery, analysis, design and implementation. By using game design ideas, we can better solve problems in construction and achieve efficient collaboration and teamwork. First, in the discovery phase, we need to identify the problem. This stage is often at the beginning of the project. Through communication with customers, contractors and designers, we understand the project needs and goals and lay the foundation for subsequent problem solving. At this stage, we can collect the questions into a list for further study during the analysis stage. Second, during the analysis phase, we need to delve deeper into the problem. This stage usually includes dismantling, analyzing, summarizing and deducing the problem. Through this phase, we can identify the root cause of the problem and be ready to develop a solution. At this stage, we can use "mazes" or "puzzles" in game design to visually express the problem, so that team members can better understand the problem and better formulate solutions. Next, in the design phase, we need to develop a problem-solving strategy based on the results of the analysis phase. This stage mainly includes formulating solutions, clarifying division of labor, setting goals, assigning tasks and monitoring progress, etc. Through this phase, we can crystallize the problem-solving strategy so that it can be implemented in practice during the implementation phase.

Finally, in the implementation phase, we need to implement problem-solving strategies based on the results of the design phase, and continuously adjust and improve them in the process. This stage mainly includes implementing solutions, coordinating resources, solving problems and summarizing feedback. Through this stage, we can put problem-solving strategies into practice, identify and solve problems in time, and ensure the smooth progress of the project.

In summary, problem solving in building construction is a complex and challenging process. By using game design ideas, we can divide problem solving into four stages, namely discovery, analysis, design and implementation. Through this method, we can better identify problems, analyze them, and develop practical solutions. Not only does this help improve problem-solving efficiency, it also helps promote teamwork and cooperation.
